Why you never have to leave Newtown (or Enmore)

If we could only go out in the one Sydney suburb for the forseeable future, we’d be pretty tempted to pick Newtown. This dynamic pocket of the city’s inner west is heaving with eclectic pubs, bars and restaurants that scratch every itch you might have for a night out. We also like to cheat a little because, for these purposes, we’re counting Enmore next door as part of this one-town-only hypothetical.  

You’ve got pubs like the Duke Of Enmore for that casual catch-up (but make sure you also stick around for the live music), wine bars such as Famelia where you can enjoy next-level vino with snacks to match, cocktail havens like Bar Planet to sip on the most considered Martinis, or you can go underground and lean into the good times at Pleasure Club. But then there are also breweries, Euro specialists, tiki bars and so much more. 

Whatever makes up your idea of a great night out, you’ll find it at the following top pubs, bars and restaurants in Newtown and Enmore. So, take your pick, make a night of it and you might just find yourself returning to this part of town again and again.
