Limpid crimson-purple; a 67/33% blend, it has features that take me back to the Woodley Treasure Chest wines of the '40s and '50s - a certain austerity that comes in part from tannins, but more importantly, from the acidity of the fruit has at this alcohol level.

Medium deep crimson. Fresh blackcurrant, sage, dark chocolate aromas with cola, aniseed notes. The palate is richly concentrated with blackcurrant, dark plum, cola flavours, underlying spicy complexity and fine chalky/ al dente textures. Finishes chewy firm and long.
