If upping your cocktail game and saving cheddar were on your 2024 bingo card, hear us out.

Lara is the Editor in Chief of Dan’s Daily. Each month, she scours the list of 300+ My Dan’s Member Offers to find her favourite deals – the bottles you’ll definitely want to grab while the price is right. Join My Dan’s for free to get the best prices, exclusive offers and access to member-only events and experiences.

Life is full of simple pleasures. Nailing a parallel park in public. That moment on holiday when you forget what day of the week it is. Holding your new baby’s hand for the first time. You know what’s better than all of that? Getting a sick deal.

Me and eight million other My Dan’s members experience this feeling all the time. And, not to sound too culty, but you too could feel this way if you join us. No matching haircuts or naked séances – just really good prices on the drinks you love (DM me if you wanna talk about haircuts, though).

As per usual, there are hundreds of member offers this week, so I’ve done my duty as an editor and found seven excellent picks that are absolute slam dunks for both price and quality. The theme? Spirits and liqueurs. If you’re stocking your bar cart for cocktail hour or hunting for a gift, these are my picks of the best My Dan’s Member offers right now. These offers end February 28, so get in now while the getting’s good. And if you miss out? Relax. There’s always more where these came from.

Don Julio Añejo Tequila

1. Don Julio Añejo Tequila

Sometimes a product becomes a ‘big deal’ because of marketing or a celebrity co-sign. Sometimes it’s because the quality is just that bloody good. Don Julio falls into the second camp – it’s one of my all-time favourite tequilas for a reason. If you’ve ever wondered if Don Julio is as brilliant as people say, the answer is a resounding yes, and their woody, fruit-forward Añejo Tequila is a serious cut above. Do yourself a favour and grab some while the price is right.

2. St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur

In 2007, St-Germain kicked off an elderflower craze that I’d argue is still rolling strong (especially if the Hugo Spritz trend is anything to go by). If elderflower isn’t on your list of go-to ingredients, it should be. Although its flavours are distinctive – think floral, honeysuckle, citrus – it plays well with so many spirits. So much so it’s nicknamed “bartender’s ketchup” because they want to put it on everything. Pick up a bottle, then try it in an Elderflower Martini, Elderflower and Basil Spritz or this perfect Gin Sour.

3. Starward x HER Honeycomb Whisky

Starward produces fabulous whisky as it is, but it’s this special release with their fellow Melburnians at HER Bar that’s got me sipping happily right now. To make Honeycomb Whisky, they’ve infused their Two-Fold double gain whisky with local honey from the Mornington Peninsula. It adds a decadence that works wonders in a Whisky Sour (an added dash of amaretto doesn’t go astray) and pairs excellently with ginger ale and a few slices of fresh fruit – but don’t refrain from sipping it neat, it’s smooth as all hell.

4. Seven Seasons Green Ant Gin

There are trillions of Aussie gins to choose from these days (not a bad problem to have), but this is one bottle I always keep on hand. Green Ant Gin is the brainchild of Daniel Motlop, a Larrakia man who uses his culture’s deep knowledge of the land to inform the production and flavours of his Seven Seasons spirits. The sustainably harvested green ants lend the gin a herby, citrusy flavour, and they double as a unique talking point ‘round the table. Support Indigenous-owned brands and enjoy a wildly good gin at the same time.

5. Nekosake Premium Sake Cup

All aboard the sake train before you get left behind. Is sake a spirit? Not technically, but I’m including it here anyway because sake is very versatile. It’s also utterly delicious, and these Premium Sake Cups from Nekosake make it truly portable. Like wine, sake will start to go bad once the bottle is opened (I usually give it a week or so in the fridge before I have to toss it), so this 180mL size is a winner for me. There’s a fresh, subtle sweetness to this sip, and it’s also on the lower ABV end of the sake spectrum, coming in at 13.8%. Throw one of these in the esky for sushi in the park and you’re good to go. Oh, and save the adorable glass cup underneath the paper label for future homewares DIYs.

6. Passoã Passionfruit Liqueur

Pornstar Martinis are everywhere and you can’t make one without passionfruit liqueur. Passoã is the OG, made with fresh passionfruit and no artificial flavourings. Beyond the Pornstar, a dash of this bar cart staple is a dead-easy way to add a tropical twist to your other classic favourites – like the Margarita, Mojito, or Mimosa.

El Toro Limón y Sal Tequila

7. El Toro Limón y Sal Tequila

For someone who waxed lyrical about the benefits of classic, old-world tequila just six paragraphs up, this pick might seem like a strange choice. It’s not. While El Toro’s Limón y Sal is decidedly new-world in style, it’s distilled by the Orendian family – a clan with tequila-making expertise tracing all the way back to 1840. Limón y Sal is a great mixing tequila, with clear notes of agave bolstered by a strong citrus profile and salty goodness. If you’re watching your budget but still want to experience a tequila backed by proper Mexican skills and heritage, give this one a try.
