Deep, saturated crimson with characters of doris plum, black cherry and blackberry fruits with hints of fruitcake spice, salted licorice, blackforest cake, graphite and panforte. Full bodied with a creme de cassis-like flow to the fruit, all thick-shouldered and luscious, a cascade of tight,fine-grained tannins and a touch of meatiness on the extended finish.

Krondorf's flagship captures the depth and complexity of a single site of 60-year-old vines in the St Jakobi area of Lyndoch in the southern Barossa, eloquently framed in classy French oak. The result contrasts succulent blueberry fruit with dark chocolate and liquorice, beautifully framed in fine-grained tannins.
