Deep crimson. Blueberry aromas with violet, dried herb, nutmeg notes. A tightly coiled but expressive wine with redcurrant confit, blue fruit flavours and plentiful chalky textures. A wine with good presence, depth and length of flavour.

Available exclusively from Dan Murphy''s. Coffee beans in hessian sack, cherries, dried herb, nuts - no shortage of Italianate flavour. It''s medium to full bodied with chewy slightly gritty, but ripe, tannin and a good finish. Noted that it seems a little thinned by alcohol, though that might just be me on the day. There''s also a little bitterness - dried herb or chicory - which isn''t unpleasant. It does not lack interest and character and delivers a good serve of Italy at a fair price. That it''s widely available is another bonus.
