Very strong colour. Perfumed aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, earth, mint and vanilla. Medium to full bodied with blackcurrant, cherry , mint and mocha flavours. Firm ripe mouthcoating tannins. Lovely balance throughout. This is classic Cabernet in every way. A very pleasant surprise – it has the flavour intensity of the cool vintage but no hard green edges. Certainly some regional mint but I like that anyway. Will buy a few for the cellar.
