Subdued and genteel with mixed citrus and florals and a somewhat stony aspect, though certainly its more approachable than the Julius of the same vintage. Has a wonderful mouth perfume and a long dry flinty finish - slight tug of pithy texture and spice there too. The blossom-filled bouquet surges instantly from the glass, citrus leading, apple tucked in close behind, the palate every bit as expressive. The crisp acidity provides the framework to carry the long finish and aftertaste; world class for a song.
