Concentrated plummy fruit and oak in balance. A touch of aniseed. Rich and heady in the mouth, quite succulent, fleshy and decadent. Soft tannins. It’s super-ripe, but a really good style.

Deep, bright purple/red colour, with a reserved but concentrated and very raw, fruit-driven aroma of stewed plums, the palate quite full-bodied and supple, but dipping slightly at the centre and tasting a little callow and unfinished. Another year may bring it together. The tannins tend to swamp the finish and aftertaste. Long-term.
