Deepish red colour with a trace of purple remaining. The bouquet is pepperminty, herbal and shows considerable oak, while the palate is firm and the tannins are again quite oaky, accentuated by tangy acidity. There is cassis cabernet flavour deep in the palate when you go hunting for it. An old-fashioned style that needs more time. It needs hearty protein to work best.
