Zema Estate have been producing quality Coonawarra Cabernet since 1982 but have been "growing" since the 1800's. The 2004 Family Selection Cab benefits greatly from a cool growing season allowing the rich flavours of blackcurrants and dark cherry to shine.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Deep, dark red colour with tints of black and purple. The bouquet shows dominant oak at first, while the palate is full-bodied and rich, dense and fleshy, with quite a lot of oak apparent. The tannins, oak and acidity combine to impart a touch of astringency. Raspberry fruit comes through on the nose with time in the glass. There is concentration and richness here. A good decant is recommended.
