About this product
Aromas of blackberry and mulberry fruits interlaced with dark plum characters with mixed spice and hints of pepper. Extremely complex. The palate shows boldly structured tannins, with ripe blackberry fruits, spice and tight acidity adding length and definition. Complex savoury characters in the background.

Made from vines planted on that special Langi site in north-west Victoria in 1963. Made by Kate Petering. Perfect cool climate red wine. Feels and smells special. Riddled with white pepper notes and ripped with black cherried fruit. But what really gets it going is the feel of it on your tongue, the undergrowthy complexity, the parade of fresh green herbs and the wine’s tight, peppery, sinewy length. One of those wines that just seems to take you to a better place.

Shares with the ‘03 and the ‘05 vivid flavours, yet has seamless fruit and oak integration on both the bouquet and palate. The flavours range through the expected spectrum of blackberry, spice, cracked pepper and licorice; long and vibrant mouthfeel, with good acidity.
