Mount Langi GhiranShiraz 2004
About this product
Mount Langi Ghiran Shiraz is rightfully considered by many to be Australia's best cool-climate Shiraz. Nestled in western Victoria, right in the heart of the Grampians wine region, Langi Shiraz is a classic, true to type wine that Dan Buckle has handcrafted. A sensuous Shiraz that displays exotic aromas and flavours of spice, savouriness and that trademark pepper character. Red berry fruit is not to be forgotten here and after a good decant, is more than suitable to be enjoyed from today onwards.

Shares with the '03 and the '05 vivid flavours, yet has seamless fruit and oak integration on both the bouquet and palate. The flavours range through the expected spectrum of blackberry, spice, cracked pepper and licorice; long and vibrant mouthfeel, with good acidity.

Deep purple red; aromas of dry spices, clean and vibrant. Taut, elegant, stylish palate, fine and dry, suave and gentlemanly. Has line and length: a delicious wine, with deep-set red and black-fruit flavours and clean, fine, assertive tannins. Fruit-driven style. Cellarworthy too. Best now to 2030.
