More than 40 years ago in 1973, the very first vintage of Wolf Blass Black Label was created - a wine that subsequently went on to win the 1974 Jimmy Watson Trophy, the first of three consecutive Jimmy Watson's. Black Label has always been a traditional blend that Wolf wanted to be immediately enjoyable upon release, which was proven by its early popularity.
