Very deep, almosy glass-staining colour, the bouquet showing chocolate and fruitcake, cocoa powder and sweet almost jammy flavour on palate, concluding with persuasive and drying tannins. Some cellar time would be worthwhile. The Real Review, 4 November, 2022

Substance is the name of the game. This is powerful with blackberry, dark chocolate, date and liquorice, perhaps some saltbush hanging about the edges. The thing is: its also frisky and fresh. It comes on strong but gives you a chance to breathe at the same time.
