PetalumaPiccadilly Valley Chardonnay 750mL
About this product
This Chardonnay is pale gold in colour with complex aromas of stone fruits and citrus zest along with sublte flintiness on the bouquet. The palate displays more stone fruit characteristics which are complemented by subtle oak spice and a fine, creamy texture from both time spent on lees and partial malolactic fermentation. The wine has a lingering finishes comprised of grapefruity pith driving the acid . The wine has great ability to develop beautiful complexity with age.

Almond, cloves, vanilla, toasty savoury barrel work, nectarine and grapefruit. Some warmth but offset by a cool flinty texture. Toast, vanilla and lime on a pretty long finish. Working hard, but doing a good job. Big style, though also pretty tight with it – carries it off well anyway. Purring with power. Good release for Petaluma.

There is a harmony between pure, concentrated fruit and finely restrained, textural structure that marks this among the great vintages for Petaluma Chardonnay. White peach, fig, grapefruit and lemon blossom each find excellent definition, impeccably supported by understated ferment complexity and struck flint lees notes. Finely textured structure and outstanding persistence draw into a finely focused tail.
