Medium deep crimson. Beautiful ripe blackberry, dark plum, liquorice aromas with roasted walnut hint wax polish. Lovely claret style wine with plentiful dark berry fruits, fine grainy/cedar tannins and underlying mocha notes, finishes firm and tight with pure blackberry fruits and a fine tannin plume. 14 months maturation in 25% new and 75% seasoned French oak hogsheads. Drink now to 2032.

Give highly talented winemakers, who intimately understand their subject (in this case, Barossa Shiraz) superbly produced fruit, and look what happens!Give highly talented winemakers, who intimately understand their subject (in this case, Barossa Shiraz) superbly produced fruit, and look what happens!? An irresistibly unctuous iteration of the genre is what happens! Black, purple, and crimson-hued, opaque, with a sweet red licorice nose, a touch of deep red rose petal, then supple flavours of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, licorice, and anise. Effortless in its intensity, long and spiced with super-fine tannins. Elegantly plush, with awesome plump generosity. Well-judged supporting French oak brings added class to the wine. A sheer joy to drink now, and with great cellaring potential. An irresistibly unctuous iteration of the genre is what happens!
