Orange grading to pale olive-brown on the rim; great topaque and muscat are made with the young wines as the starting point, and they have to be good. This wine is that and then some, with full-on butterscotch, tea leaf, cup cake and creme brulee flavours, reaching a peak on the back-palate, before drying out nicely on the finish, leaving the mouth fresh and looking for the next sip. 500ml.

Medium to full tawny-brown colour with a broad green-yellow rim. The bouquet is intense with cold tea, malt extract topaque characters, richly fruity and showing some aged complexity, but the fruit is very much uppermost. It's very sweet, viscous and oily and would be great as an ice-cream topping—with a glass on the side, of course. Superb value for money.
