Chateau Pontet Canet is a large Pauillac estate that can trace its origins back to 1725, when Jean-François Pontet gave his name to the estate he had acquired. The Tesserons have vastly improved the quality of the Pontet-Canet wines which are now full-bodied and packed with ripe, chewy, black fruits and finely integrated tannins. The wines have great ageing potential. Pontet-Canet is classified as a 5ème Cru Classé. 35% of the 2016 vintage was aged in concrete amphorae.

Vivid and full of energy with blackberry, currant and salt. Full body, intense and long. Harmony. Purpose. Classicism. The mineral and currant character is all year. A seamless tannin texture. Great wine. You want to drink it now!

Deep colour, Fresh elderberry, cassis aromas with herb notes. Beautiful fruity cassis blackberry flavours, fine supple tannins, inky richness and savoury new oak notes. Finishes minerally with liquorice/aniseed notes. A generous wine with attractive richness, density and bitter sweet notes. Delicious wine.
