A true Barossa original, grenache is enjoying a brilliant resurgence of popularity. The Zerk sisters, Janelle and Kristen, have been proudly at the forefront of this. Thank goodness their ancestors didn’t succumb to the lure of the old “vine-pull” scheme! Previous vintages have been runaway sales successes. The 2021 version should do likewise. Poached cherry and red berry flavours, laced with dark spices and pepper, plus a hint of cola and charcuterie finish smoothly with a fine powdery tannin mouthfeel.
