About this product
Rated 96 points by James Halliday, this Secret Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is cassis driven and complex. It's full-bodied with well integrated tannins on the palate. This is a remarkable Cabernet, which will age gracefully with suitable cellaring conditions.

Took its tally of trophies to 10 by winning four at the Limestone Coast Wine Show '13. It is a wine of exceptional power and concentration, layers of cassis fruit, French oak and dried sage folded tightly over each other, maintaining their claim on the palate for a seeming eternity. It is true that in flavour and structure terms this wine comes from the big end of town, and it's a fair bet that in future the new oak will be cut back, and the amount of tannin more precisely calibrated against the character of the fruit. But it is a great example of its genre.

...Blackberry, tobacco and custardy oak with an attractive regional mint/aniseed perfume... firm through the palate with nice line and well managed acidity - structure is bold and good.
