Sangiovese has crossed over to become an addition to the McLaren Vale range. No longer considered an ‘alternative’ variety, for people with ‘alternative’ lifestyles. Cherry cola, dusty oak, bay leaf, aniseed and dried herb. Medium bodied, cherries and red fruits, firm fleshy tannin – feels good – balanced acidity and a plenty of grainy tannin on the finish. Nice wine. Seems regional and varietal.

Light red-purple; fine, powdery tannins run through the length of the savoury, light to medium-bodied palate; the mix of red and sour cherry fruit reflects the variety to advantage.
