Wild-fermented, plunged daily, matured in French oak (25% new) for 10 months, cross-flow filtered. The smoky/spicy bouquet leads into a medium-bodied, well balanced palate. Black and sour cherry, licorice and pepper add all the trimmings ex its cool site.

Medium to deep red colour with a touch of purple on the rim. The wine is sweetly vegetal and bunchy, very bunchy. It has softness and silky texture and is very approachable. The whole-bunch characters are obvious but not overpowering. Lovely cool-grown spice aromas and flavours. A delicious cool-climate shiraz.
