Light to mid-yellow colour with a slivered almond, creamy bouquet showing lees influence. The palate is soft and rich and pulpy, with a clean and dry finish and some alcohol warmth which lingers. Very good wine, and it's youthful for its age.

Free-run juice pressed to French oak for wild fermentation and maturation, recalling Mitchelton's barrel-fermented Marsanne of the '80s and '90s. Meyer lemon and honeysuckle are the flavour drivers, and while marsanne repays stainless steel maturation, oak doesn't work the same way - this is a drink sooner than later proposition.
