The fruit for this excellent shiraz comes from south at Wrattonbully. IT's a wine of some poise with those dark chocolate and slightly earthy and slightly vanilla bean characters emerging. It's textured and lavishly flavored with loads of dark fruit supplemented by bright red fruits. The oak influence is significant with 28 months in a mix of new American - hence the subtle vanilla character - and used French. Will cellar but I really like it as a drink in the next few years. Cellar - 8 years.

Deep, bold, bright and youthful purple-red colour, with a dominant coconut vanilla bouquet that suggests generous use of oak. A solid cloak of dark chocolate and mocha. The palate has quite drying tannins. Full bodied, dense and hearty. A big mouthful of shiraz. I'd give it a bit more time for the oak to mellow. 03 AUG 2022 (Cellar 2024-2035).
