Curator Wine CoBarossa Valley Shiraz 2021
About this product
This wine as usual has amazingly deep colour and density, notes of cedar and blue and red berries. The palate has initial blueberry fruit (a hallmark of this wine) with mouth-watering juiciness, finishing smoothly with great chalk-like tannin structure. All too easy for now but is also built for a bit of a long run in the cellar.

It's gorgeously perfumed on the nose showing dark plum, mulberry, spicy oak and dark chocolate notes, followed by a generously flavoured palate that's velvety and lingering. Plush and satisfying. At its best: 2023 to 2036. $35.00. www.curatorwineco.com.au. March 2021.

Estate Marananga vineyard. Basket pressed; matured 16 months in 25% new 85% French and 15% American oak barrels; unfined and unfiltered. Tom White has done a fine job of delivering all the power and might of Marananga without sacrificing an iota of brightness or integrity. Brimming with spicy black/blueberries and stewed satasuma plums, its sweet fruit is married harmoniously with high-cocoa dark chocolate and coffee-bean oak. Firm, fine tannins hold a long finish.
