Clarendon HillsDomaine BDX 2016
About this product
Domaine Clarendon BDX represents a modern perspective of the classic Australian Bordeaux blend. Representing a traditional Medoc blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot the Domaine Clarendon BDX offers a savoury styled example. Located in McLaren Vale, South Australia, all of the wines at Clarendon Hills are made by hand and are crafted using only natural processes and ingredients.
Apparent Domaine Clarendon BDX characters include violets, black currant, chococlate, cedar shavings and polished mahogany characters throughout the palate. The Domaine Clarendon BDX is a part of the Clarendon Hills Premier-Cru classification and generally drinks best after a few years in the cellar, when its ‘terroir’ is formally demonstrated. Exceptional vintages like 2016 offer a unique approachability and a refined expression of its ancient terroir.

Attractive aromas of tapenade and black olives with darker plums and blackcurrants. Cedary, too. The palate has a very sleek, plush and fine-boned feel with succulent flesh, framed in crisp, nicely tailored tannins. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot. Drink or hold.
