This limited release 2014 Caillard Mataro is an elegant, evocative and aromatic wine inspired by the study of Penfolds,  19th Century winemaking and the importance of Mataro. Attractive crimson colours, fresh blackberry, cranberry, herb garden, star anise aromas, generous slinky graphite textures, underlying spicy, grilled nut, chinotto notes and persistent linear freshness. With one year’s bottle age the fruit, oak and tannins have folded gently to bring a beautiful inky texture and complexity.
