This is wonderfully fruited and gloriously fragrant on the nose showing crème de cassis, dark cherry, dark chocolate and cedar characters with a touch of tobacco complexity. It’s concentrated and intensely flavoured on the palate with excellent density and depth, brilliantly supported by fine texture and chalky tannins. Sturdy and firm yet balanced and silky. At its best: now to 2030.

Deep, dark red/purple colour. The bouquet is reserved and ripe, chocolaty, mellowing and savoury, not all that cabernet-like but of good quality. It's rich and full-bodied, with depth and grip thanks to ripe, supple tannins. The wine offers remarkable weight and flavour, balance and drinkability at the modest price.
