Deep red-purple, limpid colour; there are fresh red-fruit aromas, raspberry and redcurrant, very varietal cabernet, on the cooler-grown side of the ledger. Palate medium-full bodied and tense, with some firmness in the tannins. The varietal fruit is doing the talking. Elegant, accessible and appealing cabernet. And good value. Posted 30 NOV 2023

This is predominantly cabernet, but small bits of petit verdot, cabernet franc, and malbec have played their role in completing an excellent wine for drinking in the medium term. Colour is deep and dark red, and the nose displays a Margaret River combination of blackcurrant, bay leaf, a little black olive, and fruitcake. The palate is medium-bodied but with good fruit intensity, deep red dark fruits released with the support of some fine sinewy tannins and some nice subtle cedary oak influence. Displays excellent concentration and weight, and offers wonderful current drinking. Cellar: 8 years.
