We gave this excellent cab sauv extra points for sheer value. This southern beauty "over-delivers" generously. We enjoyed the earthy, choc affogato, tobacco leaf, cassis, black olive complexity. The wine sits nicely balanced with fine, grippy tannins, classy French oak and loads of complex varietal flavour.

Deep red with a tinge of brick-red; forward looking colour. The bouquet is very savoury, earthy, tobacco and sousbois notes, a tinge of cedar cigar box, too. Some seaweed nuances. The palate is lean and sinewy, drying and savoury, linear rather than rich or plump. Good wine. It would be nice with protein foods.
