For a twist, we make a small portion of Amarone style Sangiovese which is dried for 6 weeks in the vineyard, fermented and added back to the cuvee in small amounts. This adds texture and mid palate.

The elegant season in the Hills has drawn out the strawberry side of Sangiovese . Maturation in large oak barrels has integrated fine-grained tannins while a touch of amarone fruit (dried six weeks in the vineyard) brings body and heightens its poached strawberry generosity. Nicely crafted, food-friendly and deliciously affordable.
