When Akarua decided to use some of Central Otago’s outstanding Pinot crop to create a winning sparkling, the respected producer didn’t hold back. Enlisting Tony Jordan of Chandon Australia fame and their own Matt Connell, Akarua have created a fresh and aperitif style sparkling with floral, savoury and bready aromas. Hand picked fruit, 15% reserve wines matured old French oak and 18 months on lees makes this not only an incredibly delicious wine, but a steal.

Cream, biscuits, lemon curd, citrus and a yeasty top note. Clean, fresh and savoury with an energetic bubble, firm acidity and a dry flinty finish. Carries a little sweetness but ends savoury. Tasty.
