Deep, bold colour, in great condition. Still has its youth but is also exceedingly complex. Iodine, peat, crushed ants, tar, leather, dried mushrooms, pepper: a fascinating and powerful array of aromas and flavours that shouts "Hunter Valley shiraz". Great depth of flavour, concentration, density and richness. A smashing middle-aged regional shiraz.
