Aged 11, Meshach came to the Barossa from 'Hillcot' in Wiltshire, England with his family, establishing a thriving viticultural wheat and sheep property near Lyndoch. In the late 1860s, under his father's watchful eye, Meshach began winemaking.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Deep red, slight purple. Rich dense colour. Very rich, dense, savoury nose, lots of oak/barrel-age impact, very smooth and fleshy: high-extract, good density and concentration. drive and length. Plenty of alcohol but not unbalanced. A big, big wine, loaded with everything but very good: a hedonic romp. Great richness and power, incredible length, an extraordinary wine. Immense length. Long term.
