This is a rare full-bodied wine with finesse. The coupling comes about courtesy of the way the oak is integrated and the tannins honed, though not by any apology from the blackberry and black cherry fruit.

Deep crimson. Intense paneforte-like aromas including graphite, dark berry, liquorice, mocha, vanilla notes. Densely packed and voluminous wine with concentrated dark berry fruit, rich chocolaty textures, plenty of sweet mocha, vanilla oak and underlying herb garden notes. Finishes chocolaty with a long inky graphite plume and marked acidity. A forceful but well-balanced wine with immense concentration, power, richness and extract. Will take a few years to unfold.
