Scorching release. Has the fruit, the power, the length. But what really sets it apart are the long ropes of dry, ferrous, rusty tannin. It tastes like it's been forged. Like it's been dug up out of ground and then weathered over a warm Barossan summer. Leather, licorice, coal, black berries. A steal.

Very deep, dark purple/red colour; dense. The bouquet is super-ripe black plums and a lick of charry toasty oak. The wine is full-bodied and rich, dense and quite chewy, but in a pleasant way. It's fleshy and smooth, sweet-fruited and ripe, the tannins supple and equable. Very good and has a promising future.
