Full bodied, it displays deeply concentrated and vibrant aromas of blackcurrants and red berries underscored by chocolate and cedar oak. Hints of mint and briar came on the way to a finish of wonderfully soft tannins. Stonewell Shiraz uses the best batches of each vintage from various growers across the Barossa Valley. The 1994 vintage is excellent; decanting is recommended.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Vintage 1994
Crimson/purple. Intense wine with beautifully focussed blackberry/coffee/mocha fruit and touches of grilled bacon. Immensely concentrated and well-knitted wine with plush blackberry/savoury/bacon flavours, pronounced, slightly bitter tannins, but plenty of fruit sweetness, concentration and length. Will evolve.
