Mount MaryQuintet 1994
About this product
Mount Mary is considered by many as Australia's benchmark Cabernet having established itself by Dr John Middleton in 1971. Mount Mary was a major player in the resurgence of the Yarra Valley as a premium grape growing region which continues to this day. The 1994 Quintet has a few more earthy and smallgoods characters than in other years and would suit a fattier food match to better show off its aged characters.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Medium purple-red; the typically fine and elegant yet complex bouquet runs through a range of cassis, briar and earthy notes, leading on to a quintessentially Yarra Valley-structured palate with blackcurrant, leaf and mint, and subtle oak, finishing with fine, almost milky, tannins.
