Dry, Full Bodied style of ShirazBenno Seppelt was the edlest son of Seppelt's founder Joseph Seppelt. In 2003, the quality of the fruit from the Bendigo region was so outstanding that they decided to release it as a single region wine, to sit alongside the famous Seppelt St Peters Shiraz. The 2006 Seppelt Benno Bendigo Shiraz is choc-full of lively fruit with more than a nod to dark berries like blackcurrant and blackberry. A seductive and long palate delivers a truly remarkable Bendigo Shiraz experience.

Lively dark fruits leap out of the glass; the tannin management is wonderful, as the palate is quite velvety, long and has a very attractive savoury twist to the finish.

Medium deep purple red: vivid. Youthful vibrant nose, blood plum and dark berries. Deep flavour, rich and ripe, clean and pure; lots of flavour here, dark fruits flood the palate together with grainy persistent tannins. Has flesh, depth and richness. Dry tannin finish lingers well. Worth cellaring.
