Elegant freshness to the nose with some dark plum characters. It has a lovely, juicy palate with lots of flavour and plenty of character.

This was a great wine to have a bit of patience with as it developed beautifully over two nights. The nose is dark and rich, throwing off oodles of blackberry, plum, raspberry and mulberry, while oak—derived coconut and earth, game and shoe polish give it some more savoury depth, as it’s not three years old. Despite the darkness, the palate is juicy with lots of fruit sweetness, all amounting to a very tasty wine. As stated above, having some patience will bring rewards as the aromas and flavours become richer with some air, so it’s definitely worth saving some wine for a second outing.
