Grant BurgeBalthasar Shiraz 2022
About this product
This wine is deep with a dense purple hue. Aromatically rich with bright, sweet cherry chocolate and a lift of sweet spice. A lovely rich jube and liquorice lift boldens the appearance of the wine. On the palate it shows sweet lifted blueberry, blackberry and red cherry. Lashings of chocolate give a rich feel to the wine which is overlaid with sweeter spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. The wine has a beautiful fruit core with soft rounded tannins and a lush and fine texture that is completed with a long, balanced and fine finish.

Vintage 2022
96 points The Real Review
Very deep, bright, youthful purple-red colour, saturated and glass-staining; the bouquet is rich in black fruits and smoky/charry oak, the oak slightly having the upper hand at present but it's young and the oak is in keeping with the wine's body. Spicy/earthy/ironstone shiraz characters dominate the palate. Abundant firm tannins give the wine excellent structure and the backbone to age long-term.
