Château Haut-BrionPessac-Léognan 1988
About this product
The legendary Château Haut-Brion is classified amongst the First Growth producers of Bordeaux, and rightly so with the estate producing some of the finest and sought after wines in the world. What was a very good year for the 1988 vintage, the wine is still very deep in colour and long on the palate held by soft, supple tannins.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

What a beautiful and complete wine, with dark chocolate, crushed blackberry, cedar and raspberry on the nose. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a beautiful licorice, tar and fruit aftertaste. Long and complex. Will improve with age, but delicious now.
