PenfoldsMagill Estate Shiraz 1996
About this product
This wine is from the historic Magill Estate Vineyard, located in the Adelaide foothills of South Australia. Magill Estate was the first vineyard established by Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold in 1844. The vineyard is now 5.2 hectares in size and consists entirely of Shiraz vines, planted between 1951 and 1985. The vines are hand-pruned and the vineyard is also hand-harvested. Now in its twelfth vintage, Magill Estate has firmly established itself as one of Australia's most important single-vineyard wines.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
