A bit crushed-leafy to sniff. Palate is very firm and a bit pinched. Very firm finish. Grippy. Really sticks the lips together. Needs time still. Best now till 15 years. Tannins are a worry: a bit to green and tough. Should be softer by now

Medium to full red-purple; solidly ripe fruit on the bouquet is balanced by pronounced vanillin oak; the palate is equivalently powerful and concentrated, with dark fruit and dark chocolate flavours; the structure is particularly good, with tannins running through from the middle to the finish.
