Deepish red/purple hue, with a reductive, sweaty aroma, overlying cherry-pip fruit, straightforward and callow. The wine is very firm and tightly-compacted, the tannins grippy - with a trace of bitterness - and overall the wine is raw and primary and needs more time. It has intensity and some persistence, though. A bold and gutsy wine that would stand up well to hearty foods.
