The creation of this limited release Cabernet Sauvignon began as a quest to create something real, different, and aspiringly lofty, together with our trusted partner Dourthe Bordeaux. The French component of this wine was made at two of the Dourthe-owned wineries. Australian components of this wine were made at Penfolds Nuriootpa Winery (South Australia). The French and Australian components were blended and bottled in South Australia. A natural match with lamb studded with rosemary and thyme. Slow braised beef cheeks. Cheese: English cheddar, Grana Padano, Limburger.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Deep crimson. Lovely intense blackcurrant, dark chocolate, marzipan, vanilla aromas with touch of cola/ chinotto/herbs. Inky deep wine with dense blackcurrant, black cherry, praline flavours, fine chocolaty/ grippy/ touch leafy tannins and well-balanced marzipan, vanilla, roasted chestnut notes. A claret firm chewy finish with persistent fresh acidity. Penfolds x Dourthe collaboration. 64% Bordeaux 32% Coonawarra. Drink 2026 – 2034 13.5% alc
