Since 1844, Penfolds has been grounded in experimentation, curiosity and uncompromising quality. This pioneering spirit still rings true after nearly two centuries and is what has helped them become one of the most celebrated winemakers in the world today. Very fresh and flavorful. First impressions are of lemon zest and just squeezed lime juice. The palate has a fleshy, pithy texture with chalky minerality and mouth-watering acidity. At once salivating, inviting, elegant. While this is a lighter-bodied wine, it has plenty of volume and power. A spell in the cellar will invite the emergence of more complex maturation characters
