PenfoldsBin 23 Pinot Noir 2023
About this product
Bin 23 derives its name from ‘Cellar 23’ at Magill Estate, where pinot noir barriques are often stored during maturation. It follows in the footsteps of the Penfolds Cellar Reserve Pinot Noir, a wine first made from Adelaide Hills grapes in 1997. Reflecting an evolving style, regional definition and complexities of the many and varied pinot noir clones, Bin 23 Pinot Noir is an elegant, lighter bodied inclusion in the Penfolds Collection. The relationship between Penfolds and cool-climate regions continues to evolve with fruit sourcing shifting to the island of Tasmania, famed for its pristine environment and quality grapes.

Presenting a clear, bright ruby-purple hue, this Pinot Noir delights with a bouquet of spring flowers, strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, accompanied by hints of warm baking spices. The palate offers an abundance of raspberry and strawberry coulis, intertwined with floral notes and a subtle touch of wet earth and herbs.Presenting a light bodied style, it maintains a fresh, approachable character with soft tannins and a lingering finish of cherry and cinnamon. While not overly complex, its balance and structure make it a versatile choice. Pair with creamy goat cheese, seared salmon, or a wild mushroom risotto for a harmonious dining experience.

Medium crimson. Lovely pure red cherry, strawberry, hint blue fruit aromas with herb garden, cola notes. Generously concentrated pure red cherry, strawberry fruits with negroni/ Campari like complexity, fine lacy textures, lovely mid palate viscosity and well-balanced acidity. Uncomplicated but well balanced and delicious early drinking style. Drink now – keep for a while 13.5% alc
