Haven always has more grunt than the other 2 single-block pinots. It's a whorl of spiced dark cherries, beetroot and earthy rhubarb, zest of blood orange with sweet and charry oak encompassing all. Full bodied, with lots of tannins yet the palate has some give driven by lively acidity.

Medium to light ruby colour with purple tinges, the bouquet shows smoked-smallgoods, mushrooms, a faint trace of reduction, a note of dried flower heads and a trace of oak. The wine is elegant and refined on the tongue; smooth and savoury as it glides towards and long, supple, deliciously lingering finale. An excellent pinot.
