Deep, dense red/purple colour, with a smoky charred-oak bouquet which showcases heavily-toasted American oak. It's full-bodied and firm, tight and focused, with a long carry and firm, oaky tannins which linger long through the aftertaste. (Vineyard planted in the 1960s at 100m altitude)
